This Year's banquet was
graciously held by Eric and Beverly Akeson, for the second year
in a row. It was very well put together, and everyone appreciated
the work that they have put into it. Much enjoyment was had by
all. Thanks guys!
Our guest
of honor this year was Hydroplane Legend - Billy Schumacher
We watched some videos of
Billy in action as he raced against some of his competition of
the day. Billy gave a riveting recount of some of his favorite
races. Some stories that we all will cherish.
Our thanks
goes to Harry Gatjens for MCing this event.

Bev has voluntarily taken

people like her, we would just be standing around our pit tables
without racing our boats. Bev also takes pictures for the web

John
Gatjens
The 'Trash' award is made
up of parts from boats in the past that have been 'trashed' due
to crashes. Each year a 'winner' is selected due to what has
happened during the season. That 'winner' will add a piece of
their boat to the perpetual trophy that helped them 'win' this
not-so-coveted award.
